Our Story

Ameer Williamson (aka A-Minus) is a recording artist, writer and mentor who had a vision in 2010 to utilize the original hip-hop culture to positively influence youth within his community. Since then, his vision evolved into something bigger thus the Alien Arts came to fruition.

Founder / PRESIDENT

Ameer is from Warren, Ohio and is the Founder/President of Alien Arts, Inc. He is also a hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, performer, event host and public speaker who goes by the moniker A-MINUS. Ameer is an aspiring entrepreneur who is the owner of the Alien Nation brand. He has been heavily involved in the Akron, Ohio community for over a decade and is a 2016 Alumni of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute of Summit County. He attended the University of Akron and majored in Small Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. Ameer has over 20 years of customer service experience. He is a visionary who has excellent leadership, communication, event planning, social media marketing and creative writing skills. He uses hip-hop culture as a tool to teach positivity and connect with a younger audience. Ameer loves to create positive content and has an immense passion for mentoring youth.

LaToya Evans

Vice President of the Board

Latoya is from Kent, Ohio and is the Vice-President of Alien Arts, Inc. She graduated with high honors from Bethlehem House of Bread with a concentration in Black Church studies. She then went on to become an Ashland Theological Seminary Alumni with a Master of Arts in clinical and pastoral counseling. She is a licensed minister and has a deep passion for mentoring youth. Latoya is also a Neo-Soul singer/hip-hop recording artist, songwriter, vocal arranger, musician and performer. She has a passion for the arts and is in the process of developing her own fashion line. Latoya is currently the head billing coordinator for Fannie May/Harry London.

 

 

Marva Glass

Board Secretary

Marva is from Detroit, Michigan and is the Administrative Secretary for Alien Arts, Inc. She is a Howard University Alumni with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree specializing in Finance. Marva retired from Burrough’s, Inc. in 2019 and has 25 years of experience as a supervisor in credit and accounts receivables. Marva loves music and has a strong passion for mentoring youth.
